Long and Beautiful

I am the third owner, having purchased the car in Oklahoma in 1982 from my older brother. I was so excited I drove the car to California straight through in 24 hours.
I didn't really start to restore the car until 1990 when I moved to Sacramento and met some other 300 owners, and found out some of the history (legend) of the 300's.
During the restoration I've attempted diligently to keep my restorations as original as possible. I've gone as far as exchanging the current door panels by installing factory reproductions. I did take the liberty to change the interior from white to red. In addition to the upholstery, I have also installed new carpeting and had a new paint job. Along the way I have had the motor, transmission, and rear end rebuilt. Those are just the major components, as much more has also been done.
The next project will be to replace the top and some of the moldings.

Waiting for the start of the 2002 Elk Grove Parade. Note the cow horns on the front of the car. Fit right in there in Elk Grove. |
