This 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T has had one owner. It was purchased October 3, 1969 at Swift Dodge on Florin Road. It has a 440 magnum, a 4 speed manual transmission with Hurst pistol grip handle, and 3:54 Dana sure grip rear end. The official color is Go Mango. The car is matching numbers with 70,000 original miles.
I traded my Chevelle for this daily driver. With the gas prices and shortage in the ‘70’s it became a weekend driver, then marriage and a family, and is now a monthly driver. In 1989 I had the dings and dents removed, the car repainted with new stripes, re-chromed, and in 2000 Neil Marran painted the engine compartment. The vinyl top is original.
To date, that I know of, my sons 24 and 32 have each driven the car only once with me along for the ride. |
